NORTH ELTHAM WANDERERS CRICKET CLUB

Masterplan

This page outlines the plans council  has for the clubs facilities and surrounds over the next decade. A lot of hard work has been put in by the club to get our needs catered for by the plan. The Masterplan has been approved by council, but unfortunately due to the way councils are run the money and therefore everything on the plan is not locked in as yet. Things have and will change.

Activities completed

  • 4 New Light Towers on the Top Oval

Current Activities occuring now or in the future

  • New road entry and carpark for Clubrooms and Oval Via Roundabout - Work has commenced on the preliminary design of the proposed car park and entrance at the northern end of Eltham Nth Reserve.
  • Oval Redevelopments - The Main Oval and Soccer pitch to be resurfaced and watered by a 200KL water tank fed from storm water.
  • New Cricket Nets to be created. - This is primarily to make way for an enlarging of the soccer pitch and to take the nets off the pitch surface.
  • 2 New Light Towers for the Soccer Pitch

Oval Redevelopments - 2009

Main Oval - Our Main Cricket Oval is due for re-development starting in 2009
- no play or training on the Main Cricket Oval for 2009-10 season. The club is liasing with the council for an alternative ground.
- the training nets will be available for use whilst the oval is under re-development.

Soccer Pitch - Our Soccer pitch is due for re-development starting 2010
- no play or training on the Soccer pitch for 2010-11 season.
- the training nets will be moved from off the pitch surface before the pitch is under re-development.

Adventure Park/Green Shed - This oval is not scheduled for re-development. The 10 year Masterplan has lined this oval up for resurfacing with natural drought tolerant grass as a medium priority. But as much as the club would love it at this stage there is no known certainty of this going ahead.
