I trust that you have had a good winter and are ready for a new and successful cricket season.

As a club we have a short, but proud history. To come from one team twenty six years ago to now fielding six senior and fourteen junior teams. This makes us not only one of the largest clubs in the DVCA but also in Victoria. Both our senior and junior teams have achieved a great number of Premierships in the past but unfortunately our Money Shield XI has not had the same success as we would have liked.

To achieve the ultimate prize you will need to make not only sacrifices but a commitment to yourself and to your team mates and to your club for this coming season. You need to set achievable goals and be prepared to work hard on improving your game.

This season we are delighted to announce the appointment of John Bailey to work with the bowlers. John has had considerable success during his cricket career and will be a great acquisition for this coming season. Also, Marcus Smith will be involved with getting our fielding up to a high level.

Attached is the preseason schedule. You will notice that we have indoor training on Sunday mornings as well as Thursday nights. The reason for the two different days is to try and minimise the overlap of football commitments with cricket pre season training. You will only need to attend at least one of these sessions a week. I f you can attend both weekly sessions, that would be great.
